            On this 11th day of September 1820 personally appeared in open court, being a court of record for the said county, John Anthony aged [blank] years resident in Athens Township in said County, who being first duly sworn according to law doth on his oath declare that he served in the Revolutionary War as follows: That he enlisted as a private soldier in the year [blank] under Capt. Yates, Col. VanSchaick’s Regiment and served nine months; enlisted a second time under Capt. Dink in the same regiment and served five months; and again enlisted under Capt. Austin Col. Ganseworth’s [Gansevoort] regiment and served until the close of the war. That his former declaration was dated the 1st day of May 1818 and the number of his certificate 11763.
            And I do solemnly swear that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March 1818. And that I have not since that time by gift, sale or in any manner disposed of my property or any part thereof with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provision of an act of Congress entitled “an Act to provide for certain persons engaged in the Land and Naval Service of the United States in the Revolutionary War” passed on the 18th day of March 1818, and that I have not nor has any person in trust of me any property or securities, contracts or debts due me: nor have I any income other than that is contained in the schedule hereto annexed & by me subscribed.
            Schedule: one pot 50 c, one tea kettle 50, one spider 50, on crockery [?] 1.50, 2 pails 25, 2 tin pans 50 1 old poor spinning wheel 1.00, boxed and crocks 1.00, one trunk $2.00, one Sythe 50, one old axe 50, one trammel 50, one pig 1.00, one cow 10.00. Occupation a Farmer. Family, a wife 84 years old lame and infirm. (signed with his mark) John Anthony
