End Notes, Robert Campbell-S.23565

    1. Robert was too young to legally serve as he would not turn 16 until 1780.  Captain Thomas Whiteaker’s Company was in Colonel Samuel Campbell’s Regiment of Tryon County Militia, First Regiment.  Whiteaker’s Company was the Cherry Valley area company.  The other company officers were First Lieutenant James Campbell, Second Lieutenant Samuel Campbell and Ensign Samuel Whorfield.
    2. Captain Rynier VanEvera’s Company was in the First Regiment of Tryon County Militia.  Lieutenant-Colonel Samuel Clyde now commanded the regiment.  Colonel Clark is in error in his memory.
    3. Several pensioners claim to have served in Colonel Henry K. Van Rensselaer’s Regiment in 1781 but so far I have not found muster rolls with those officers etc.
    4. So far I haven’t found a muster roll with Captain Thomas Hick’s titled Artificiers.  Thomas Hicks was a Captain in Colonel Jacobus Van Schoonhoven’s Regiment of Albany County Militia (Twelfth Regiment), also known as the Half Moon and BallsTown District’s Regiment.
